SASC Advances Nominations of Harris, Owens, Taylor-Kale, Lt Gen Saltzman, Gen Cotton, 3,569 Additional Military Promotions

The Senate Armed Services Committee today voted by voice en bloc to favorably report out the following civilian nominations:

-Ms. Milancy Harris to be Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security
-Mr. Brendan Owens to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for Energy, Installations, and Environment
-Dr. Laura Taylor-Kale to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy 

The Committee also voted by voice en bloc to favorably report out a list of 3,571 pending military promotions in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Space Force. Included in this list are the nominations of: 

-Lieutenant General Bradley C. Saltzman, USSF to Chief of Space Operations
-General Anthony J. Cotton, USAF to be Commander of United States Strategic Command 

The nominations were immediately reported to the floor following the Committee’s action.
