SASC Advances Nominations of Kendall, Shyu, Blume, Hruby, Rose, Rosenblum, Maier

WASHINGTON, DC -- The Senate Armed Services Committee today voted by voice to favorably report out the following nominations:

 - Honorable Frank Kendall III to be Secretary of the Air Force

- Honorable Heidi Shyu to be Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering

- Ms. Susanna V. Blume to be Director of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation Department of Defense

- Ms. Jill M. Hruby to be Under Secretary of Energy for Nuclear Security and Administrator, National Nuclear Security Administration

- Mr. Frank A. Rose to be Principal Deputy Administrator, National Nuclear Security Administration

- Ms. Deborah G. Rosenblum to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs

- Mr. Christopher P. Maier to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict

 The nominations were immediately reported to the floor following the Committee’s action.
