SASC Advances Nominations of Meink, Duffey, Michael, Bass, and Caine

On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the Senate Armed Services Committee voted by roll call to report out favorably the nominations of:

-Dr. Troy E. Meink to be Secretary of the Air Force
-Mr. Michael P. Duffey to be Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment
-Mr. Emil G. Michael to be Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering
-Mr. Keith M. Bass to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs
-Lieutenant General John D. Caine, USAF (Retired) to be general and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The nominations were immediately reported to the floor following the Committee’s action.
