SASC Advances Nominations of Sherman, Vazirani, Ricci, 1,772 Military Promotions

The Senate Armed Services Committee today voted by voice to favorably report out a list of 1,772 pending military promotions in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Space Force, as well as the following civilian nominations:

-Mr. John B. Sherman to be Chief Information Officer of the Department of Defense;
-Mr. Ashish S. Vazirani to be Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness; and
-Ms. Carrie F. Ricci to be General Counsel of the Department of the Army.

The nominations were immediately reported to the floor following the Committee’s action.
