SASC Advances Nominations of Wallander, Dalton, Plumb, 72 Military Promotions
The Senate Armed Services Committee today voted to favorably report out a list of 72 pending military promotions in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, as well as the nominations of:
-Dr. Celeste Ann Wallander to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs;
-Ms. Melissa G. Dalton to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Hemispheric Affairs; and
-Dr. John F. Plumb to be Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy.
The nominations were immediately reported to the floor following the Committee’s action.
