SASC Approves Military Nominations

The Senate Armed Services Committee today voted by voice vote to favorably report 82 pending military nominations in the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

These nominations include General Tod D. Wolters, USAF, to be Commander of the United States European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe; and General Stephen J. Townsend, USA, to be Commander of the United States Africa Command. 

All nominations were immediately reported to the Senate floor following the Committee’s action.
