SASC Approves Military Nominations

Washington, D.C. – The Senate Armed Services Committee today voted by voice vote to favorably report 256 pending military nominations in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, including the nominations of:

• Admiral Philip S. Davidson, USN to be Commander, United States Pacific Command; and
• General Terrence J. O’Shaughnessy, USAF to be Commander, United States Northern Command, and Commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command. 

The nominations were immediately reported to the Senate floor following the Committee’s action.
