SASC Approves Military Nominations

The Senate Armed Services Committee yesterday voted to favorably report 920 pending military nominations in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, including: 

  • Admiral William F. Moran, USN, to be Chief of Naval Operations;
  • Lieutenant General David H. Berger, USMC, to be Commandant of the Marine Corps; and
  • General James C. McConville, USA, to be Chief of Staff of the Army.

All nominations were immediately reported to the Senate floor following the Committee's action.
