SASC Approves Nominations

Washington, D.C. – The Senate Armed Services Committee today voted by voice vote to favorably report the following nominations en bloc:

• Lieutenant General Paul M. Nakasone, USA to be general and Commander of U.S. Cyber Command, Director of the National Security Agency, and Chief of the Central Security Service; and
• Dr. Brent K. Park to be Deputy Administrator for Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation of the National Nuclear Security Administration.

The nominations were immediately reported to the Senate floor following the Committee’s action.

The nomination of Ms. Anne Marie White to be Assistant Secretary of Energy for Environmental Management was automatically discharged out of Committee on March 1, 2018, pursuant to the order of June 28, 1990.
