Senate Armed Services Committee Advances Civilian, Military Nominations

The Senate Armed Services Committee today voted in a series of three voice votes to favorably report out the following nominations:

  • Ms. Lisa M. Hershman to be Chief Management Officer of the Department of Defense;
  • Mr. Dana S. Deasy to be Chief Information Officer of the Department of Defense;
  • Mr. Robert J. Sander to be General Counsel of the Department of the Navy;
  • Mr. Joseph Bruce Hamilton to be a Member of the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board;
  • Ms. Jesse Hill Roberson to be a Member of the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board;
  • Mr. Thomas A. Summers to be a Member of the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board; and
  • 181 pending military nominations in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.

All nominations were immediately reported to the floor following the Committee’s action.
